Vienna International Virtuoso Festival (VIVF) began in Vienna — the birthplace of Mozart and a city where classical music has shaped generations of great composers, performers, and musical traditions.

Since its founding, VIVF has grown into an international platform where young musicians and emerging professionals come together to perform, compete, learn, and experience Europe through music.

Over the years, VIVF has expanded beyond Vienna, bringing music to life across Europe.Our journey has included musical and cultural exchanges in Salzburg, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Hamburg, and Frankfurt, allowing young musicians to experience the living heritage of classical music across different cities and traditions.

In 2025, the VIVF Winners’ Concert was proudly presented in Singapore at the Arts House, marking an important milestone in our international outreach and reinforcing our mission to bridge Asia and Europe through music.

Vienna International Virtuoso Festival (VIVF) – a platform for young musicians to shine and immerse in Europe where classical music was born. Young musicians and young professionals can look forward to a festival of concerts, music competition and masterclasses. In addition, experience first hand the culture and music life of several generations of great musicians in a city which will inspire and propel your music career.

The Vienna International Virtuoso Festival Music Competition 2026 warmly invites classical musicians of all ages, levels, and instruments—including piano, harp, strings, voice, and winds. Open to musicians of all nationalities under the age of 35, the competition welcomes both solo submissions and chamber music applications from small ensembles.

All prize winners will receive a diploma, with the possibility of multiple participants sharing the same award. New in 2026, we are excited to introduce grand finals for all top prize winners, as well as an extraordinary opportunity for concerto competition winners to perform with a chamber orchestra.

The Vienna International Virtuoso Music Competition is driven by a team of dedicated professionals committed to creating exceptional opportunities for young musicians.
